Due to ice conditions in the alley areas, alley trash collection will be delayed until Thursday.
During the Winter and Early Spring, Officials from the USDA will be working to dissuade gulls and geese from nesting in the area of the newly opened park on the river in Roebling. The USDA officials will use noise-making devices, extremely bright lasers, and other techniques. This message about the USDA working in the new park is intended to make the public aware of the project. There are no use restrictions in the park while work takes place.
Due to charges being imposed by financial institutions, Florence Township must now pass-along certain convenience fees when individuals use a credit card to make payments in-person.
Effective January 26, 2015, a minimum transaction convenience fee of $3.00 or 2.45% of the transaction amount (whichever is higher) must now be added to every credit card transaction conducted.
Florence Township is not the recipient of these added funds.
Residents are kindly reminded, those areas where wheeled recycling toters are in use, the older blue or yellow round recycling cans are no longer acceptable for setting out recyclables. You can bring your old round containers to the township recycling center and turn them in at your convenience.
