Township Police
Alvin Scully, Chief of Police
The Florence Township Police Department, established in 1872, is a twenty-three officer force whose duty is to protect the property and well being of those who live, work and visit here. The department maintains a high level of proficiency in today’s ever-changing law enforcement environment. The department has been awarded countless accolades by Federal, State, County and local government agencies as well as professional organizations. These achievements are due to the dedication of the men and women of the department and their pursuit to stay current with the times in the areas of computerization, communications and training.
Florence Township receives professional communication and dispatch services by Burlington County Central Communications 24 hours a day. Enhanced 911 services are also in place to ensure effective emergency reporting for police, fire and emergency services.
