The Florence Township
Police Department is an active part of this community. We have instituted
programs that lead us into integrating the police department with
our community. This furthers our community-policing program.
Our officers are available
to attend various meetings to speak on topics that concern organizations.
We conduct an Adopt-A-Cop program in which our officers visit third grade students on a monthly
basis.
Specially trained D.A.R.E. officers conduct a 17-week program to educate fifth grade students
regarding the dangers of substance abuse.
Our department operates
the Operation Reassurance program. This program is for senior
citizens or disabled people who live alone. Contact is made between
the police department and the program participants every day to
check on their well being.
For information on any
of these programs you may call us at 609-499-3131 or visit the police
department at 711 Broad Street, Florence, N.J.
