Recycling continues to be an important resource in our day to day lives, however many do not realize the positive impact generated from recycling efforts. Globally it is a lot to consider, but even locally the results of being an active recycling community supports many things. In 2022, Florence Township recycled 2,406,040 lbs of recyclables with saving of over $106,000.00 of landfill disposal fees. Recycling credits afford us the opportunity to staff and maintain a community recycling center, provide recycling collection carts to residents and our clean communities program supports community clean up efforts along with supporting summer employment opportunities dedicated to our sustainability efforts.
In short, please continue to recycle! Visit our recycling center to drop off a variety of items that will be sent out to eventually become another product to be used in the future. If you have large bulk recyclables that need to be picked up from your curbside, please contact (609)-499-2525 and speak with someone in our Clerk’s Department to be added to our pickup list.
If you have questions about what items may be recycled, review the Burlington County Recycling Guide or visit any of these links for more information.
