USA: Finished 10th in the javelin at the Pan American Games (8/10) … took fourth at the USATF Championships with a throw of 76.56m … placed third at the NSAF American JavFest with a season-best 78.82m throw that was his best mark since the 2016 NACAC U23 Championships.
Mississippi State: Was part of MSU’s historic sweep of the men’s javelin podium at the NCAA Championships (6/5) where he was the national runner-up with a 78.43m throw … threw 73.49m at the NCAA East Prelims (5/24) to qualify third … helped MSU sweep the javelin podium at the SEC Championships (5/9) with a second-place finish while throwing 77.88m … took second in the javelin at the National Relays (4/26) with a season-best 78.68m throw… won the javelin at the Crimson Tide Invitational (4/12) with a throw of 73.45m … finished third in the javelin at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (3/29) with a heave of 77.54m … placed second in the javelin at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays (3/23) with a throw of 75.81m on his first attempt.

USA: Competed for the United States at the NACAC Championships (8/11) where he finished second to MSU teammate and Grenadian national Anderson Peters … threw a season-best 76.02m (249-5) at NACAC … won a bronze medal as Team USA’s lone men’s javelin representative at the inaugural Athletics World Cup (7/15) … threw the javelin 75.47m (247-7) to score six points for the Americans who won the event … threw at the NSAF American JavFest (7/1), finishing second with a throw of 73.85m … won the USATF Championships (6/23) in the javelin with a throw of 75.99m.
Mississippi State: Was part of MSU’s “JavU” corps that made the Bulldogs the first program in NCAA history with three men to throw more than 80.00m … redshirted the collegiate season but had a very successful summer.
2017 Outdoor Season
