Application for Residential Continued Certificate of Occupancy (CCO)
- A physical inspection of the property must be scheduled. Fill out the first page of the Housing Inspection Form and submit the form and fee to the Florence Township Housing Department.
- Required information includes the name and current address, phone number and email address of the Owner/Seller/Landlord and Buyer/Tenant. Please note that we do not need the name of the buyers or tenants in order to schedule the inspection; however, that information is required in order to issue the CCO.
- The unit must be vacant for the rental inspection. It will not be inspected while the current tenant occupies it. Ample time must be provided between tenants in order to have the unit prepared and to pass inspection.
- At the inspection, a list of violations and necessary repairs will be provided to you. Once you have made the required repairs, a re-inspection is required. Please see Chapter 2 of the Township Code for re-inspection fees.
- If any new work is found to be done without a permit, a permit application must be filed with the Township and pass proper inspections with the Construction Department. Any outstanding constructions permits must be closed.
- The following are required (if applicable) in order to receive a CCO. Original certifications are required. Photocopies or faxes will NOT be accepted:
-
- Landlord Registration Form
- Heater Certification Form
- Lead Safe Certificate
- Level II Chimney Certification
- Age Restricted Development form
