As a municipality we feel that it is important to encourage and support health and wellness throughout our community. Over many years, we have dedicated efforts to provide safe and spacious areas for children, families and individuals to utilize our municipal grounds for a variety of activity. We coordinate recreation programs for youth to participate and have walking paths connecting our fields, parks and playgrounds for those that enjoy walking, running or biking. We continue to maintain these facilities and place additional opportunities for the betterment of our community.

As we look at health and wellness, it is considered in many forms. First, we have identified that health and well being is viewed in part as mental health. In order to support needs associated with mental health, we encourage everyone to take advantage of resources made available by our state and county. Our Florence Municipal Alliance has populated a wide range of links and contact information associated with avenues of support. You may find this information and more by visiting the Florence Township Municipal Alliance tab under the “Community” section of our website or by clicking this link https://www.florence-nj.gov/community/municipal-alliance/.

We are hopeful that you will find useful information that may assist you or others. The Florence Township Police Department and Florence Township Fire Department also serve as excellent resources to provide information to our public.

As we observe wellness further, we have identified opportunities for our adult community, therefore we have taken steps to provide classes for residents to take part. The current roster of classes offered is as follows:
