Florence Township Girls Softball Association (FTGSA), is charted as a Little League program that also participates in the Riverfront League.

The goal of the Florence Township Girls Softball Association is to teach players how to play softball in an environment that emphasizes fundamentals of the game, good sportsmanship, and fun. Winning and losing are part of the game but should never be the focus. The program is designed to promote and maintain softball as a sport to be enjoyed in a safe and positive atmosphere.

The recreation program is open to the children of Florence Township, Burlington Township, and Burlington City. The program is divided into leagues based on a child’s age as of December 31st.  All divisions are governed by the FTGSA Board Members.

Travel Softball Program

The Flames travel softball program is organized by FTGSA. The travel softball program is designed to provide an opportunity for youth residents to play softball on local fields and facilities at a more competitive level than the recreational level. The Flames travel softball program is designed as a supplement to the Florence Township Spring sports recreation program. The goal of the travel program is to increase player skill development in a more competitive environment. Because of the increased competitiveness of travel softball, the program is intended for players who have a higher level of interest in the sport and are prepared to dedicate more time to practices and games.
