We are proud to share the completion of a new Eagle Scout Project in our community. Over the past year, William Krzykalski worked thru the process of proposing, designing, fundraising, purchasing materials, managing work and coordinating with various township departments to bring an outdoor exercise area to Roebling Park.

This concept derived from the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Many looked for outdoor means to stay active and even post-Covid some remained reluctant to re-enter fitness centers. The ability to have equipment in our park allows individuals the opportunity to exercise while enjoying views of the river, while watching their children use the nearby playground or a stop off from walking or running the pathways in the park.

This project required some township assistance to ensure proper installation and safety. William would like to thank all that have supported the project including the efforts of both the township public works and water & sewer departments for their time onsite. The Scouts learned a great deal from the township crews as they confirmed clearance of underground utilities, taking measurements, preparing concrete and ensuring that all equipment components were level and secured.

The equipment is already being used daily and William is hopeful that more residents will visit the park for a walk and to use the exercise stations to stretch or workout. Great job William!
