New Election Ward Boundaries: Effective AFTER 2011 General Election
On October 4, 2011 at a meeting held at the Burlington County Board of Elections, the Florence Township Clerk and the Ward Commissioners formally signed the new Election Wards Map for the Township of Florence, which reflects the required changes, as per N.J.S.A. 40:44-14, due to population noted during the 2010 Census. Those affected will receive notice by mail from the Burlington County Superintendent of Elections.
Ward 1 – Boundary
All streets within the following streets and land features: Starting at the northwest corner of Route 130 and Delaware Avenue, West on Delaware Avenue over the railroad tracks, North on Station Road to Hornberger Avenue to Tenth Avenue, North on Tenth Avenue to the Delaware River, following the Delaware River to the township border with Mansfield Township then following Crafts Creek to Old York Road South-Westerly to Potts Mill Road, to the unnamed stream and following the stream to Route 130, South on Route 130 to the beginning point at the intersection of Route 130 & Delaware Avenue.
Ward 2 – Boundary
All streets within the following streets and land features: Starting at the southwest corner of Route 130 and Delaware Avenue, West on Delaware Avenue over the railroad tracks, North on Station Road to Hornberger Avenue to Tenth Avenue, North on Tenth Avenue to the Delaware River, following the Delaware River to a point at the base of Oak Street to the South side of East Front Street westerly to Cedar Street southerly to Wilbur Henry Drive, west on Wilbur Henry Drive to the railroad tracks and following the tracks to a point at Shaver Drive, West on Shaver Drive to Cedar Lane, south on Cedar Lane to Olive Street, East on Olive Street to the railroad tracks, following the railroad tracks to Railroad Avenue, west on Railroad Avenue to the NJ Turnpike overpass to Route 130 south to the township border with Burlington Township then along this border and following the route and course of the Assiscunk Creek along the township border with Springfield Township to the Mansfield Township border to Old York Road south-westerly to the west side of Potts Mill Road to the unnamed stream and following the stream to Route 130, south on Route 130 to the beginning point at the intersection of Route 130 & Delaware Avenue.

All streets within the following streets and land features: Starting at the northwest corner of Oak Street and the Delaware River, west along the Delaware River to the township border with Burlington Township then along this border to Route 130 north, to the NJ Turnpike overpass, west along the NJ Turnpike overpass to Railroad Avenue north to the railroad tracks, following the railroad tracks to the south side of Olive Street, along Olive Street to Cedar Lane north to Shaver Drive, east on Shaver Drive to the railroad tracks to Wilbur Henry Drive, Wilbur Henry Drive east to Cedar Street, north on Cedar Street to Front Street to Oak Street at the beginning point.
Please note that this information will be posted on the Florence Township’s website after the 2011 General Election and placed on Channel 19 prior to the first election when it will take effect.
