Lithium Batteries Threaten Recycling Centers

Last month, we had another fire at the Recycling Center caused by a crushed lithium battery. Fortunately, it was quickly extinguished. Lithium battery fires recently destroyed two major recycling centers in the state. These batteries are now found in many common items, even musical greeting cards!

Please tell your family and friends – No batteries in your bin! Instead, visit Call2Recycle.org for battery recycling sites.
