Sibel Aksu and her family moved to Roebling from New Haven, Connecticut 20 years ago. In April 2019, she opened Groovy Pizza & Café, which is located at 312 Broad Street, Florence. Originally from Turkey, Sibel wanted her restaurant to be more than a pizzeria that offered a variety of pizzas, strombolis and calzones, hot and cold sandwiches, and salads. Her restaurant serves authentic Turkish meals, which are Halal, as well as teas and coffee from Turkey. Most of all, she wanted her restaurant to be as welcoming as visiting her house.
Groovy Pizza & Café is a family business that has dine-in and take-out options, offers a delivery service, and provides catering. Sibel’s daughter Fatima Nur, and sons Yavuz Selim and Hamza Mushab join her in running the restaurant.

For those interested in an authentic Turkish breakfast, reservations are required for parties of three or more. Turkish breakfast is offered all day long, every day.
