As a notification to our residents, representatives from the Florence Township Tax Assessor’s office will be doing field work and may visit homes that have completed improvements. ALL field inspectors have identification badges that will be visible.

If you should have questions relating to any representative that visits your home, please email our office at information@florence-nj.gov.

As a safety precaution, minors left at home should always leave doors locked while adults are not home and they should not answer the door to any solicitors (Our assessor’s would not ask to enter a home without an adult present).

Additionally, ALL solicitors must receive approval from the Florence Township Police Department prior to visiting homes in our community. If you are unsure of any representative visiting your home or any that are unable to provide identification or they visit your home outside of the approved hours, we advise our public to deny any attempted solicitation and to contact the Florence Township Police Department. Please review the attached language relating to “Solicitor’s Permitting”.
