BOAT RAMP PERMITS
Permits may be purchased at the Florence Township Police Department, 711 Broad Street, Florence, NJ during the following days/hours:
Mondays & Tuesdays: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Wednesdays: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Thursdays & Fridays: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Saturdays: 8:00am – 1pm
Sundays & Holidays: Closed
REPORT REQUESTS
Requests for copies of police reports may be filed at the police station during normal business hours.

HANDICAP PLACARDS
Temporary Placard: Applications may be picked up at the police department. The application must be signed by a physician certifying the need for a temporary handicap placard. The application must be returned to the police department with a check or money order for $4.00 made out to “N.J. Division of Motor Vehicles”. The Chief of Police will then review the application and issue the temporary handicap-parking placard. The permit is valid for six (6) months and may be extended by the Chief of Police once for an additional six (6) months.
Permanent Placard: Applications are available at the police department. The applicant and their doctor must complete the application and forward it to the N.J. Division of Motor Vehicles.
DUMPSTER / POD PERMITS
Permission to place a dumpster on a public street must be obtained from the Chief of Police. If you have a driveway, you must place the dumpster in your driveway if it will fit without obstructing the sidewalk.

SOLICITOR’S PERMIT
Includes itinerant vendors of merchandise who shall go from door to door or from house to house in this township selling, causing to be sold, offering for sale or causing to be offered for sale or taking orders for present or future delivery of merchandise of any description whatsoever, and shall include persons going from door to door for the purpose of obtaining alms, orders, subscriptions, making canvasses or surveys or other solicitations. A fee of $5 per day, per certificate, shall be paid by the registrant for each such registration certificate issued. No person shall solicit within the meaning of this article before the hour of 10:00 a.m. or after the hour of 5:00 p.m. No person, whether registered or not, shall visit or call at any private residence for the purpose of solicitation, as defined in this Article, when banned by the householder by a sign bearing words to the effect that solicitors or peddlers are not invited or are prohibited.
