Florence Township is honored to be selected by the Burlington County Board of Commissioners to be awarded a 2025 Burlington County Parks Grant in the amount of $175,000.00 designated for playground improvements at the John A Roebling Park on Riverside Avenue.

We are among 37 municipalities that received a favorable response as our award along with six other municipalities received the highest grant total during this grant cycle.

We will be working with a playground design group to create a new, safe and exciting playground for our community to enjoy, with attention to inclusive and handicapped accessible amenities.

Just last month, our community received $165,000.00 through a legislative grant where Senator Troy Singleton and Assemblywoman Carol Murphy awarded to improve the Railroad Avenue Playground.

The Railroad Avenue Playground and the John A Roebling Playground are the first playground improvements to benefit from such grant opportunities in quite some time. We are currently reviewing each of our playgrounds and will be exploring opportunities for future improvements for the benefit our residents and families.

We are truly appreciative to the Burlington County Board of Commissioners for supporting our grant application. This is a wonderful opportunity to be able to provide a positive and lasting impact and we are grateful for the opportunity to utilize these funds for such a project.
