We have observed several incidents on the news describing serious injuries involving individuals riding bicycles, scooters and e-bikes. As a recreation committee and as a township, we continue to improve and promote the use of our parks, playgrounds and walking paths for the safety of the residents in Florence Township.

Through a generous donation by our local Amazon ABE8, we have acquired a large quantity of bicycle/scooter helmets fitted between the ages of 3+ and 14+. We would like to get them into the hands of our local families as soon as possible.

If you are interested in a helmet for your child, here is what you will need to do:

Provide the following: Adult/Parent Name, Child’s Age, Boy or Girl, Contact Phone Number, Valid Email Address.
You may submit your email starting NOW thru 2pm on Friday, October 3rd.

Names will be pulled at 4pm and selections will be contacted.

Helmets will be available for pick up beginning at 6:30pm at the Florence Township Municipal Building Front Conference Room on Monday Evening, October 6th.

*If you have multiple children, you will need to send an individual email for each.

We are appreciative for the continued support by Amazon ABE8 and we are happy to provide these helmets to further ensure the children’s safety as they travel through the neighborhoods with their friends.
