Welcome to the Florence Township Recycling Center.
The Florence Township Recycling Center has been registered thru the State of New Jersey as a recycling convenience center. The center is not designated as a landfill, transfer station or dump. A convenience center serves as a location which enables residents the ability to dispose of items such as general recyclables along with separate containers provided for metals, wood waste, plastic bags, used clothing disposal, televisions, computers & other electronic products. Some yard products such as leaves and branches are accepted as well.
The Recycling Center accepts the following recyclables:
- Electronics (Televisions, Computers, Printers, Speakers, Radios, etc.)
- Clothing and textiles
- Metal
- Batteries (Please see attendant for specific batteries accepted)
- Paper
- Cardboard
- Plastic bottles and food containers (#s 1, 2 and 5)
- Glass bottles and jars
- Metal cans
- Cartons (milk and juice)
- Treated Wood
- Non-Treated Wood

The Florence Township Recycling Center has scheduled hours of operation each week providing residents to ability to visit to dispose of recyclables. The center is open for use by RESIDENTS ONLY and attendees will confirm proof of residence and will observe items set to be disposed to determine where they are to be place or if they are not eligible to be discarded at our center.
Current Hours of Operation are as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11am – 5pm
Saturday: 9am – 3pm
Closed: Wednesday & Sunday

Please note that household trash is not accepted at the recycling center. When visiting the center please do not bring items such as bagged household trash, furniture or other items that are typically placed curbside for weekly trash collection. If you are unsure if your item may be brought to the recycling center, please contact our office at (609)-499-2525 or via email to information@florence-nj.gov.
Large recyclables that you are unable to offload by hand at the recycling center may be scheduled for pickup on Wednesdays for “Bulk Recycling Pickup”. In order to schedule you must contact our office by phone and speak with someone in the Florence Township Clerk’s Office. Requests must be made by the previous day by 3am to make Wednesday’s collection list. Please call (609)-499-2525 for listing opportunity.
