2024-2025 Recycling Calendar

The Florence Township Recycling Department facilitates local recycling efforts between our community and the Burlington County Office of Recycling located in Westampton, New Jersey.  Curbside recycling collection is offered to all residents of Florence Township.  Recycling collection is completed throughout our community and residents are provided a 96 gallon recycling toter to place approved paper & plastic products.  The County visits Florence Township every two weeks and travels our roadways to emptying toters.  In the event toters are damaged, residents may contact the township municipal office to request a replacement toter.  Our public works staff delivers the toter and removes the damaged product then repairs so it may be placed back into our inventory.

Florence Township also provides residents the ability to discard various recyclables at our recycling center.  Residents may visit our center during its hours of operation to discard certain items.  Our center is not designated as a landfill or transfer station so we do not accept household waste or non-recyclables on site.  Those items must either remain at your property for curbside pickup or you may choose to take them to the county landfill.  Contractors are also not permitted to discard job waste/debris at the township recycling center.  If you are unsure what items are accepted at our recycling center, please contact our office for more information.

Some items may be difficult for you to deliver to our recycling center, so we are here to help.  BULK RECYCLABLES are picked up from your curbside on Wednesdays but you MUST contact our office to schedule pick up.  We ONLY pick up recyclables (i.e. microwaves, metal shelving, televisions, radios, computers and similar items).  If you are unsure if your item is eligible for Bulk Recyclables Pickup, please call our office and we are happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Please browse our recycling page and check out our Recycle Coach Link, Video from Burlington County Recycling and other items that may answer your questions.  If you need further information, please contact the Florence Township Municipal Building Monday thru Friday from 9am to 4:30pm.

We will continue to approach recycling efforts to create sustainability and support our residents and community in the best manner possible.  Please subscribe to our website and follow our township Facebook page for updates on town, county and state recycling practices.

Current Hours of Operation are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:  11am – 5pm
Saturday:  9am – 3pm
Closed:  Wednesday & Sunday

Recycling:  NJ DEP Honors Resident at Annual Awards.
